Redmi 13 5G Review – Specifications & Price
Redmi has officially launched a new smartphone called Redmi 13 5G. If we compare the specifications of this device with Redmi 12, then there is a slight upgrade, which we will talk about in detail later. There are a total of two different storage models. The base model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the top model comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It has three colour options – Black Diamond, Orchid Pink, and Hawaiian Blue.
The design of the device is seen in boxy style. The back side is flat and looks quite premium. It has a glass design on the back side, which gives a premium feel. A single speaker and a mic are given on the bottom side. The volume rocker and power button are given on the right side. There is a hybrid SIM slot on the left side. And there is a 3.5 jack and IR blaster option on top.

Let’s talk about its display first, Redmi 13 5G has a 6.79 inch FHD+ IPS LCD display. This display has 120hz refresh rate and 550 nits max brightness support. Gorilla Glass 3 has been used for protection. IP53 resistance is available. Average bezel is available, which is fine according to a budget level.
It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 gen 2 Accelerated version. This is an overclocked version of the normal chipset, whose performance is slightly above the normal chipset. Its Antutu score is around 440K+. It also has LPDDR4x RAM type and UFS 2.2 storage type. It has been claimed by the company that this device will provide lag free experience for 3 years.
The battery has a 5030mAh battery along with a 33 watt fast charging option and it is available inside the box. The company claims that this device can be charged up to 50% within 30 minutes with this charger. To further enhance the user experience, it gets HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box. The company has claimed that this device will get 2 Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
In connectivity, 7 5G band, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 support is going to be available. IR blaster support will be available. Side mounted fingerprint scanner has been done for security along with face unlocking support is also available. It has a dynamic ring flash option at the back which will indicate when a call comes. According to the RAM variant, extra virtual RAM support will be available. Extra features also include Xiaomi dialler, 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio support.
Talking about the camera, there is a 108-megapixel main camera on the back which comes with Samsung HM6 sensor and a 2-megapixel micro sensor. At the same time, a 13-megapixel selfie camera will be available in the front. You can record video of 1080p @30fps from both sides.

Redmi 13 5G Price in India
As mentioned earlier, there are a total of two variants in Redmi 13 5G, the base variant is priced at Rs 13,999. At the same time, its top variant is priced at 15499. The biggest question is should this device be taken at this price point or not? If Redmi 13 is compared to Redmi 12 5G, then it can be called a big upgrade because there is a lot of difference in the features and specifications. In the case of Prince, the price of both is quite similar but if you want to upgrade or want to buy a new smartphone then Redmi 13 5G can be a great option.
